For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me...” - Matthew 25:35-36

St. George’s Church supports the Bracknell Foodbank which is based at The Kerith Centre in Bracknell, part of a national network (which also includes the Foodbank in Crowthorne) associated with The Trussell Trust -

This is a Christian charity that does not affiliate itself with any political party and currently receives no government funding. They are non-judgemental and inclusive, providing assistance to people of all backgrounds and all faiths or none, who are in genuine need.

The Foodbank gives out nutritionally balanced emergency food parcels to people in crisis who have nowhere else to turn. They also offer additional support to help break the cycle of poverty, putting people in touch with relevant agencies who can offer further support.

St. George’s is one of the many churches and faith groups in the local area which regularly donate tins, packets and toiletries to the Foodbank. These are then sorted and packed by volunteers into food packs, providing enough food for 10 meals over 3 days.

Volunteers are always welcome. Please contact or for more information.
